OUR SCHOLARS
Our target group consists of the vulnerable group of young kids, who live under the constant threat of either being trafficked, married into early marriage practices, or being sexually exploited. These families who live under poverty, struggle to make ends meet, let alone send their kids to school for education. As a result, they become more susceptible to victimization.
Boys and girls are occasionally misled by the promise of better possibilities or occupations in foreign nations and end up being enslaved. Without an appropriate intervention leading to empowerment, these vulnerable communities are helpless to change the conditions that determine their surroundings. In such a context, education, as an intervention tool, can help them to break the cycle of human trafficking. We strive to break this cycle by giving these innocent lives a second chance on life that they never got, to acquire education and skill, and also an opportunity to be recognized as people of value in their communities.
A great K-12 education is a proven path to social mobility and economic prosperity and a bridge to opportunity. We work with grantees and other partners to ensure that all students have access to a high-quality public education and to help more students graduate from high school with the skills they need to enroll, succeed in, and complete college.
I hope you all are doing well Just to give an update. I’m obtaining my Master’s degree in Clinical mental counseling at North Park University in Chicago. I have witnessed dozens of girls and women around me struggle with mental health problems and died of from suicide and disease, but never knew to seek help. One of the reasons is financial difficulties and stigmatization towards sex workers.
I’m passionate about mental health and want to be a professional license counselor. In order to provide psychological support to marginalized girls like me and help them to access their strengths and resiliency for their personal goals and healing journey.
I’m deeply grateful for the people who donated my books, other supplies and fees for my school. I promise to continue to work hard towards my studies. You guys have made a tremendous impact in my life!!!!

“Hello, my name is Farah. I hope you are doing well and keeping safe. I just wanted to share a little update on what I am doing these days. As you all know I have completed my phlebotomy school and was doing an internship at one of the hospitals in LA. Working at the hospital inspired me to choose the field of Nursing. Currently, I am studying at Stanbridge University for my nursing program.
I am in my first semester. I am a driven person and wanted to do something which serves a cause. I have chosen this profession because I want make an impact on people's lives. I can touch many lives by giving care, affection, and compassion. I am learning a lot in this journey and I am really enjoying it. However, I would like to thank everyone who has supported me to pursue my dream.”

I am currently an Undergraduate as a Theatre Major in Salve Regina University, Rhode Island.
In Salve, I am studying psychology and literature as a minor, and was part of the fall production 'The Bible Women's Project' last month. Having theatre as a major comes with a lot of opportunities to be on stage, readings of new scripts, being part of fun projects with different people, my most favorite working with community.
Coming from a background like mine, it is really difficult sometimes to trust faith and accept the good things life has for you. But when I give to others in the form of acting or dance, it brings me immense joy and sense of pride that my community and background has become my strength. It helps me not only follow my passion for acting but learn, grow and inspire others.
Everytime I get on stage it is a reminder of where I started and how far I've come. I wish to keep acting, exploring in the field of theater and acknowledging the fact of how I can learn so much, and find a home far from home.

In 2020-2021, I was volunteering at Camphill School in Pennsylvania with special needs children. I really fell in love with the community, including the teachers, staff, and my colleagues. But most of all I fell in love with all 70 children, all of whom have different developmental disabilities.
I lived with them full time and helped with feeding, bathing, walking, and general caretaking for them. To be very honest, it's the hardest work I've ever done in my entire life and yet the most beautiful and rewarding. I realized I wanted to work with this population full time, so this August I enrolled in Camphill Academy's degree program for Special Needs Education. During the six months I had in between leaving the US as a volunteer and returning as a student, I also worked at Camphill in Bangalore for adults, and I truly know that I've found my life calling.
