PARI PADS, an initiative by Save the Child Foundation, aims to combat period poverty by providing safe and accessible menstrual products to girls and women. The goal is to enhance productivity by ensuring uninterrupted access to menstrual hygiene products. In 2023, the initiative distributed 80,000 PARI PADS (10,000 packets) to those in need. Additionally, on Menstrual Hygiene Day, May 28, 2024, the initiative successfully distributed 30,000 pads (3,750 packets). This effort not only includes disposable biodegradable pads like PARI PADS but also promotes sustainable alternatives such as BAALA PADS and menstrual cups. By enabling women and girls to safely manage their menstrual cycles, the initiative contributes to their overall health and productivity.
